SWINE FLU SCARE RATTLES KEMP

IT only took a couple of sniffs to turn Sarah Kemp into a very, very nervous young lady. BACK INJURY FORCES DRAPER INTO RETIREMENT

WRITE him off at your peril. The man who has made a career out of overcoming adversity is down yet again, but definitely not out. Chronic multi-level disc degeneration in his back may have forced popular Queenslander Scott Draper to call an end to his fledging golf career, but the former Davis Cup tennis star isn’t prepared to rule out a comeback to the fairways of his ‘favourite’ sport, as unlikely as it may seem. Many will argue Draper is one of the most talented athletes Australia has ever produced. An impressive tennis career that spanned...

GRADY: STILL FIRING AT 51

AN EXCITING playoff between USPGA winner Wayne Grady and South Australian Gary Merrick in the inaugural PGA Seniors Championship at Adelaide Shores was the highlight of a four-tournament swing by the Legends Tour through South Australia. Both men walked to the playoff hole – the par four ninth which doglegs to the left – in fading light which had organisers worried about completing the event before nightfall. Unfortunately for Merrick, their fears were allayed when the South Australian hit his drive left in the trees. Although he recovered well, Merrick could not...
