GOLFER PACIFIC BEST BALL CHALLENGE 2012
Golfer Pacific, Australia and New Zealand’s highest circulating golf publication is pleased to launch the 3rd season of the Golfer Pacific Best Ball Challenge. In what promises to be a rewarding program for Australasian amateur golf, this two-person best ball event will see several 1000 club golfers compete at more than 100+ golf clubs throughout Australia and New Zealand for a significant prize pool. Similar to other national amateur golf events, winning teams of the Golfer Pacific Best Ball will progress to regional finals and then onto a national final. All entrants at all levels will go into a lucky prize draw to win a range of prizes.(see included in the promotional offer) Golf Pro’s qualify as well. The more entrants placed by you qualifies you for multiple entries to the Lucky prize drawn at the National Final,2012. All participants in the Golfer Pacific Best Ball Challenge will receive:

The entry fee for a Golfer Pacific local event is $35 per participant (including GST). Should the local club you are participating at decide to charge a green fee, that fee would be additional. There is no additional entry fees payable for players qualifying for regional finals and the national final.
The Golfer Pacific Best Ball Challenge is open to:

Amateur golfers with a current men’s or women’s Golf Australia and Golf New Zealand handicap.

Golfers of all skill levels

Event: 2 person best ball stableford (commonly referred to as 4BBB Stableford)
Teams must consist of two amateurs with current Golf Australia and Golf New Zealand handicaps. The composition of each team must conform with the Golfer Pacific Best Ball Challenge format as follows:

Two golfers with a combined handicap that does not exceed 45.

Minimum of 50 nominations (25 teams) to have one team qualify for regional final.

Minimum of 90 nominations (45 teams) to have two teams qualify for regional final.
Only one player substitution is permitted at regional and national finals. The player substituting cannot have a higher handicap than they player being substituted.

REGIONAL EVENTS
Up to regional final events will be hosted at premier resort courses throughout Australia and New Zealand in September 2011. These venues will be spread geographically to ensure reasonable access for all Club Event qualifiers.
Motorised carts will be included for all players.
Anticipated breakdown of regional final venues:
QUEENSLAND (4), NEW SOUTH WALES (4), VICTORIA (3), SOUTH AUSTRALIA (1), WESTERN AUSTRALIA (1), TASMANIA (1), NZ – North Island (3), NZ – South Island (3).
Regional final venues and dates will be announced on 1 July 2012 and published in the August 2012 edition in Golfer Pacific.
NATIONAL FINAL
(16 October - 18 October)
30 Teams (60) players will qualify for the National Final.
The National Final will be a two round tournament , Championship on the Gold Coast.

You will receive $10 for each entrant participating at your ‘Club’ event. The balance of the entry fee will be used to fund event prizes, hosting of the regional and national final events and administration.

Entry into a major prize draw with $120,000 in prizes that must be won. There are 25 x GPS units, 25 x non motorized golf buggies, 6 Gold Coast play and stay packages holidays, 3,000 x $10 gift vouchers and more. This is a lucky draw and will not impinge on amateur status regulations.
